The SFM Foundation topped $100,000 in net proceeds from its golf fundraiser June 15, the highest amount ever.
The funds will go toward scholarships for students whose parents were seriously injured or killed in workplace accidents in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa.
"We're so grateful for the support of everyone who sponsored and participated in the golf tournament," said Executive Director Dave Kaiser. "Because of them, we'll be able to help even more students in need."
Due to its fundraising success, the Foundation was able to increase its maximum scholarship amount from $5,000 per year to $10,000 per year, renewable for up to five years. Since its inception in 2008, the SFM Foundation has committed a total of $885,500 toward scholarships benefiting 94 students.
